The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, who helped create the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The celebrated video game developer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, those closest to him, and all those touched by his work," an official with Electronic Arts said.
